Make it stand out.
Thank you to everyone who joined our over-capacity, sold-out fundraiser for the Homeless Youth Alliance! We were able to donate over $1k, which helped the Homeless Youth Alliance move into a new building to operate out of!
Event Description Below
Have you felt heartache as you pass one of the 6,000 homeless people on San Francisco's streets and wanted to help? This is our offering, where breath and beats merge with compassion and action.
Please join us for an evening of community, throwback hip-hop and vinyasa to benefit the Homeless Youth Alliance. Leila Burrows, co-owner of The Pad Studios, will lead us in a vinyasa flow for all levels (beginners encouraged to come!) and longtime SF mix master DJ Mei-Lwun will be providing us with classic hip-hop beats.
1,441 youth between the ages of 18 and 24 are homeless in San Francisco and the Homeless Youth Alliance is providing much-needed services. After 12 years in their Haight St. location, where they were able to offer showers, counseling, doctors, mail and unconditional love, the HYA lost their lease. They are operating out of a van, determined to continue caring for our at-risk youth, "Our mission is to meet homeless youth where they are at and to help them build healthier lives." - Homeless Youth Alliance
